Why Cove for Treatment?

Sub-Specialty Orthopaedic Expertise of the Foot, including Bunions.

Our orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Sean Ng, has a special interest in treating conditions of the foot and ankle, which includes bunion correction.

He was formerly a Consultant at the Foot and Ankle Service at Singapore General Hospital, and obtained sub-specialty training of the Foot and Ankle on a Ministry of Health HMDP award in Switzerland.

This means that you can expect to receive specialist bunion management in an accredited facility.

Regular monitoring is needed so as to facilitate proper management of the wounds and foot. This ensures that an ideal position of the big toe is achieved.

Full recovery will take about 6 to 8 weeks, and patients will also be given appropriate post-surgical medication, including antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and pain relief medication.

Physiotherapy may also be recommended to further improve strength and range of motion.
