Dr Sean Ng is a Ministry of Health-accredited orthopaedic surgeon who is experienced in all kinds of general orthopaedic and trauma surgery. Nonetheless, he has a special interest in percutaneous and minimally invasive surgery for bunion correction.
Dr Ng is currently a Visiting Consultant at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and member of the GRECMIP (European Group for the Study and Research of Minimally Invasive Surgery of the Foot and Ankle).
Dr Ng obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and subsequently his Masters of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery in Singapore as well.
Not long after, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr Ng also completed subspecialty training in Bunion Surgery under the Ministry of Health HMDP award at the largest hospital in Switzerland, the Hopitaux Universitaires de Geneve in Geneva.
Dr Ng was a Consultant with the Foot and Ankle Service in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at SGH, as well as board member of the Medical Board of SGH.
Dr Ng was also actively involved in the teaching of medical students at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS) and the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School; and part of the Core Faculty in the SingHealth Orthopaedic Residency Transitional Year Programme.
Dr Ng has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and have been invited to several international medical conferences. He is also a reviewer at the Malaysian Medical Journal.
